Top Sites for Printables

So, one of the first things I wanted to share with other parents are great places to find more information! Knowledge is POWER!

My #1 Go To Site (for printables):

Montessori For Everyone

Great place to start! Lots of free printables, and some to purchase. Start here first!

And then there's:

Montessori Print Shop

They have a great variety of free printable materials, as well as ones you can purchase.

Another great Printable Site:

Super Teacher Worksheets

They have a HUGE supply of helpers. While it is not a Montessori specific site, it has lots of items that work well! For all those with kids in K-3rd grades, I highly suggest the Sight Words Cards - I'll blog about that soon!

MontessoriMom is another great site for free printables, but there are a lot of ads, so watch what you click on!

Purpose

My journey with my children, who are attending Marquette Montessori Academy (a free* public Montessori school in South Bend, Indiana) has been quite a learning adventure! Being a former teacher, I was vaguely familiar with the Montessori approach to educating children, but esentially, I had no idea! When talk began about turning Marquette from a traditional school to a magnet Montessori school, I became very excited. The number one reason I was even considering it was they offered free* preschool classes for 3 and 4 year olds. My oldest entered the school when he was 4, the first year they had trained Montessori teachers. We were very lucky to get a seasoned Montessori teacher - Mrs. S!

I wanted to start this blog to help me keep track of this great adventure, to share my learning experiences with other parents, and to provide practical ideas for embracing the Montessori approach at home! I hope you enjoy!

Peace,
Heather E
